2019 has been an amazing year for IT, cloud, and telecom services. We’ve seen a lot of momentum in the way of mobility, AI, and IoT solutions, and we can only imagine that 2020 will give way to even more great strides in propelling these technologies forward. And we are certainly not alone in that thinking. In fact, Gartner’s senior research vice president, Val Sribar, recently said:

“It’s been 50 years since the first message was sent across what became the internet. In 50 years we’ve seen technology transform our enterprises, our relationships, and society itself. The next five years may bring as much change as those last 50.”

Over the past year, IoT has become an increasingly important way companies share information between things, people and processes — and the proof is in the data. According to IDC, the total amount of annual data created by IoT devices is expected to hit 79.4 zettabytes by 2025.
