Recently, LanYap Networks and Matrix partnered on a deal for a company that provides eco-friendly, natural, organic products for home lawn, garden, and farm care. The company offers a range of live biological pest control products for flies and plant pests through its retail location and online store. Here’s a quick breakdown of the project. 

Business Challenge: An innovator in the organics industry, the organization’s executive leaders realized they were quickly outgrowing their locally-run ‘business-grade’ technology platform. Everything needed a serious upgrade – from the company’s postage system and ordering software to storage software, security solutions, and more.

• Improved application access – Enjoying faster enterprise-grade broadband internet and leveraging four Wireless Access Points (WAP) for greater reliability and enhanced productivity across the entire facility.
• Established a secure and scalable cloud computing infrastructure – Virtualized server and hosted Microsoft Exchange service now provides safe, secure and ultra-reliable access to email programs and suite of Microsoft Office products. Also established hosted-desktop services using Citrix.
• Transitioned shipping and order management apps to the cloud – Shifted shipping application and order management system to run in the cloud for greater performance, reliability, and less maintenance.
• Upgraded legacy WAN to improve performance – Installed SD-WAN that’s specifically built for hybrid cloud computing. Team can prioritize critical and demanding traffic.
